  Einrichtung zur elektrischen     Erhitzung    von drehbaren eisernen Hohlwalzen,  insbesondere von     Kalander-    und     dergl.    Walzen.    Die Erfindung betrifft     eine*    Einrichtung  zur elektrischen Erhitzung von drehbaren  eisernen Hohlwalzen, insbesondere von     Ka-          lander-    und     dergl.    Walzen, mittelst des elek  trischen Stromes.  



  Das Wesen der neuen Einrichtung besteht  darin,     dass    im Innern der zu erhitzenden  eisernen Walze ein durch<B>-</B> den Hohlraum       hindurchgeführter    elektrischer Leiter an  geordnet ist, dessen beide Enden an die       NiederspannungswicklungeinesTransformators     angeschlossen sind, dessen für höhere Span  nung gewickelte Primärwicklung mit der  Stromquelle verbunden wird.  



  In der Zeichnung ist eine mit der neuen  Heizeinrichtung versehene Walze in     scherna-          tischem    Längsschnitt dargestellt.  



  <B>c</B>     i,3t    die eiserne     Hoblwalze,    die mittelst       der    Hohlzapf<B>'</B> en<B>d</B> gelagert ist. Durch den  Hohlraum der Walze ist ein elektrischer  Leiter, z. B. eine Kupferstange e, hindurch  geführt, die von der Walze z. B. durch isolie  rende Büchsen<B>g</B> elektrisch isoliert ist.

   Da  die Stange e feststehend ist und an der    Drehung der     Walze.nicht    teilnehmen soll, so  kann man unter     Fortlassung    der Büchsen<B>g</B>  die Stange e an dem zur Lagerung der Walze  dienenden     Alaschinengestell    isoliert befestigen,  Die beiden aus der Walze herausragenden  Enden     f-f    der Stange e sind durch Kabel       oderLeiterb    an die     Niederspannungs-Sekundär-          wicklung    des Transformators     Tangeschlossen,     dessen für höhere Spannung gewickelte Primär  wicklung mit einer     Wechselstromquelle    ver  bunden werden kann.

      Der durch die Stange e     fliessendeWechsel-          strom    induziert um diese Stange ein magne  tisches Feld, dessen Kraftlinien im Eisen  mantel des Zylinders<B>o</B> in senkrecht zur  Stange e liegenden Ebenen, konzentrisch mit  dieser Stange verlaufende Kreise bilden.  



  Die im Eisenkörper<B>P</B> auftretende     Urn-          magnetisierung    bewirkt eine Erhitzung des  Zylinders und da die Verwertung des magne  tischen Wechselfeldes ohne Streuung erfolgt,  so wird die elektrische Energie beinahe ver  lustlos im Zylinder     c    in Wärme verwandelt.

        Die Einrichtung     lässt    sich an bereits  bestehenden     Kalandern    oder dergleichen, die  auf Dampf- oder Gasheizung eingerichtet sind,  ohne nennenswerte     Betriebsstbrung    in kürze  ster Zeit und äusserst     einfaeb.    anbringen, ohne       dass    man die Walzen irgendwie umändern  oder selbst aus der Maschine entfernen     müsste.     Die Ausnutzung des elektrischen Stromes  ist eine äusserst wirtschaftliche, ausserdem. ist  die auf diese Art     durgeführte    elektrische Er  hitzung mit Niederspannung absolut betriebs  sicher und beseitigt     stiuntliche    Nachteile der  Dampf- oder Gaserhitzung.

   Endlich gestattet  die elektrische Erhitzung z.     li.    durch<B>An-</B>  ordnung des Stufenschalters a     amTransformator     eine äusserst genaue und sofort wirkende  Regelung der Temperatur der Walze.  



  Statt der einzigen, in der geometrischen  Achse der Walze angeordneten Stange e kann  man bei grösseren Walzen auch mehrere paral  lel geschaltete Stangen im Inneren     derWalze     unterbringen, die eine     Art   <B>Käfig</B> bilden, oder    aber kann der Leiter innerhalb des Hohl  raumes der Walze eine     schraubenfZirrnige     Spirale bilden, deren Enden durch die Hohl  zapfen hinausragen.
