Abstract
L'invention concerne une méthode de récupération de valeurs de fer et de valeurs d'aluminium à partir d'un résidu de boue rouge du procédé Bayer. La méthode comprend éventuellement l'ajustement du pH du résidu de l'alcalin vers le neutre ; la séparation d'un composant solide de celui-ci et la calcination dudit composant solide pour produire un solide calciné ; la lixiviation du solide calciné dans de l'acide aqueux pour dissoudre les valeurs de fer et les valeurs d'aluminium, et la séparation d'un lixiviat solubilisé et la réalisation sur celui-ci d'une première extraction par solvant de valeurs de fer à l'aide d'un agent d'extraction organique non miscible préférant les valeurs de fer pour produire un agent d'extraction organique chargé en valeurs de fer et un raffinat débarrassé des valeurs de fer, le décapage de valeurs de fer de l'agent d'extraction organique chargé dans une solution aqueuse ; éventuellement la récupération de l'acide à partir du raffinat ou la neutralisation de l'acide dans le raffinat ; la réalisation d'une seconde extraction par solvant de valeurs d'aluminium sur le raffinat à l'aide d'un agent d'extraction organique non miscible pour produire un agent d'extraction organique chargé en valeurs d'aluminium ; et le décapage de valeurs d'aluminium à partir dudit agent d'extraction organique chargé en valeurs d'aluminium en solution aqueuse.
