Abstract
La présente invention concerne un produit de chanvre fabriqué comprenant une pluralité de bandes de chanvre liées par adhésif et pressées, la majeure partie des bandes de chanvre étant généralement de la même longueur et comprenant une structure interne généralement allongée d'origine naturelle s'étendant généralement le long d'un axe de la bande qui a été au moins partiellement rompue latéralement et au moins pénétrée par un adhésif. Les bandes de chanvre sont orientées approximativement en parallèle les unes par rapport aux autres le long de leur longueur. Le produit de chanvre fabriqué comprend une quantité d'adhésif se situant entre environ 5 % et environ 49 % en poids. Le produit de chanvre fabriqué peut être utilisé comme substitut du bois en termes d'apparence et de performance. Les produits de chanvre fabriqués peuvent présenter des qualités esthétiques et structurales qui sont appropriées pour des applications en zones de passage important et de grande visibilité telles que des planches, des blocs, des poutres, des panneaux, des planchers, des meubles, des matériaux de construction et d'autres produits en bois.
