Abstract

Une méthode de quantification d'au moins une caractéristique intéressante dans un échantillon de minerai de sables bitumineux est décrite, laquelle utilise un procédé de spectroscopie par claquage induit par éclair laser. La caractéristique intéressante peut comprendre une teneur en bitume, une teneur en eau, des renseignements sur la taille des particules, la capacité d'échange de cations, un indice de bleu de méthylène, une teneur minéralogique (p. ex. le quartz, l'argile totale et les éléments d'argile), une teneur en matières amorphes, une teneur en cendres totale et un paramètre d'eau connée (p. ex. la conductivité, la teneur en chlorures ou l'alcalinité).
