Abstract

Une grande constellation de satellites à bas coût comprenant un support de satellite et un système d'administration permet un accès utilisateur généralisé à une technologie satellite avancée à des coûts extrêmement bas. Toute partie de la constellation peut se voir attribuer des tâches et être configurée pour la capture de données spécifiques. Dans un mode de réalisation, une constellation de satellites individuels est employée pour collecter simultanément des données d'occultation à partir de multiples signaux provenant d'un système de simulation polyvalent qui passent à travers des sections atmosphériques d'intérêt. En variante, la constellation peut être configurée comme un système de suivi de localisation de véhicule qui reçoit de multiples signaux de suivi de véhicule, et d'après ces derniers, suivre au sein d'une grille de système chaque véhicule sous surveillance. Le système peut utiliser un système didentification automatique pour des navires de haute mer, une surveillance dépendante automatique en mode diffusion pour les aéronefs, et un intervalle d'échappement auriculaire pour des trains. L'utilisation du système permet un suivi étendu de chargements clés et la protection de véhicules vis-à-vis d'actes de piraterie et similaire.
