Abstract

The invention provides an improved drive system of metal scissors. The drive system includes gears and gear bar. Traditionally metal scissors are lever system. Two arms of metal scissors are pushed and cutting edges close and cut metal sheet. The improved metal scissors cut metal sheet by pushing the arm and master arm. The master +arm of metal scissors drives the gears and gear bar. The gears and gear bar run and move the cutting edges of metal scissors. Then the metal scissors cut the metal sheet. The improve metal scissors increase to cut thicker thickness of metal sheet than traditional metal scissors. It is easier for the improved metal scissors to cut metal sheet than traditional metal scissors.

Description

Background of The Invention Traditional metal scissors are lever system. There are 2 arms in the metal scissors. When arms are pushed, cutting edges close and cut metal sheet. Metal sheet is used great effort to be cut by hand, especially thick metal sheet.
Summary of The Invention Drive system of metal scissors according to the invention are gear system that includes the gears and gear bar. When the arms of metal scissors are pushed, the arms of metal scissors run to close and make the gears and gear bar operate. The cutting edges close and cut the metal sheet. The gears and gear bar system of metal scissors are easier to cut metal sheet, especially thick metal sheet than traditional lever system of metal scissors.

Detailed Description of The Invention In the drawings, which form parts of this specification, Figs. 1A and 1B illustrate metal scissors with gears and gear bar. In the particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention illustrated, metal scissors comprise master arm 1, passive arm 2, cutting edges 3, arm 4, support leg 5, open limit stopper 6, close limit stopper 7, close limit stopper and gear bar 8, gear 9, cover 10, spring 11, locker 12, first bolt 13, shaft 14, second bolt 15.
As seen in Figs. 1A and 1B, the locker 12 unlocks the metal scissors arms 1, 2, 4, which are opened by spring 11. Opening of the arms 1, 2 and 4 also causes two cutting edges 3 opened and apart from each other via the first bolt 13. Open limit stopper 6 stops the scissors from continuing to open when the scissors are opened to the maximum extent permitted by the open limit stopper 6. When master arm 1 is pushed to close, for example by a user, gears 9 and gear bar 8 start operating. Cutting edges 3 is caused to pivotally close about the first bolt 13 and cut a metal sheet. Cutting edges 3 are stopped by close limit stopper 7 when the extent of close reaches the maximum extent permitted by the close limit stopper 7 and close limit stopper and gear bar 8.
Passive arm 2 and arm 4 are connected by first bolt 13. There are 5 or 7 gears in a gear system. The number of the gears is depended on length of arm 4. Seven gears are used in a long length of arm 4. As seen in the example of Fig. 1A, there are 5 gears in the gear system. The diameter of the gear in the shaft 14 is bigger than the diameter of the others.
There are 4 support legs 5 in the support holder[what are the support legs and support holder used for?]. As illustrated in Figures 4A and 4B, one side of 4 support legs 5 and spring 11 are connected by a riveting bolt. The support legs 5 and spring 11 do free movement[ what is free movement?]. The other side of 4 support legs 5 connect to close limit stopper 7 and close limit stopper and gear bar 8 by riveting bolts. 2 support legs connect to close limit stopper 7 and do free movement[?]. 2 support legs connect to close limit stopper and gear bar 8 and do free movement. Open limit stopper 6 connects to the middle of support legs 5 by riveting bolts. Spring 11 opens the arms 1, 2, 4, and cutting Date Recue/Date Received 2020-07-25
3 edges 3. When the open limit stopper 6 touches middle of the support leg 5, the arms 1, 2,
4, and cutting edges 3 stop opening. When the arms 1, 2, 4, and cutting edges 3 close, and when close limit stopper 7 and close limit stopper and gear bar 8 touch middle of the support leg 5 and stop closing.
There are 2 covers 10 in the gear system. The covers 10 support gears 5 and locker 12.
There are 2 holes in the close limit stopper 7 and the close limit stopper and gear bar 8 each hole for receiving a leg of the spring 11. The 2 legs of spring 11 do free movement in the holes. As seen in Fig 1A, in passive arm 2, this is an open type connection in the passive arm. When passive arm 2 connects to the shaft 14, the passive arm 2 and the master arm 1 are connected with each other via the shaft 14. The passive arm 2 and the shaft 14 may be secure by screws.
As seen in Fig. 2A, in the shaft 14, there are 2 splines and 1 gear in the shaft 14. 2 splines connect to master arm 1. Passive arm 2 connects to smallest diameter of the shaft 14. This limits passive arm 2 to move in the shaft 14.
As seen in Figs. 3A and 3B, in master arm 1, this is an open type connection in the master arm 1. When master arm 1 connects to the shaft 14, the master arm 1 and the shaft 14 may be secured by screws.
As seen in Figs. 4A and 4B, in the support holder, there are 4 support legs 5 and a spring 11. Spring 11 makes arm 4 and passive arm 2 open.
As seen in Figs. 5A and 5B, in the open limit stopper 6, support legs 5 connect to open limit stopper 6 by riveting bolts.
As seen in Figs 6A and 6B, in the close limit stopper 7, support legs 5 connect to close limit stopper 7 by riveting bolts. There is a hole in close limit stopper 7. Leg of spring 11 do free movement in the hole. Close limit stopper 7 connects to passive arm 2 by welding.
Figs 7A and 7B illustrate an example of a close limit stopper and gear bar 8.
The close limit stopper and gear bar 8 connects to arm 4 by welding. Support legs 5 connect to close limit stopper and gear bar 8 by riveting bolts. There is a hole in close limit stopper and gear bar 8. Leg of spring 11 do free movement in the hole.
