Abstract
Un procédé de combustion sur place dans le cadre d'une opération de récupération d'hydrocarbures mature dans un réservoir enterré est décrit. L'opération de récupération mature comprend des paires de puits et une zone de communication entre les puits de la paire. Le procédé comprend l'injection d'un gaz comburant dans au moins un puits pour amorcer la combustion et promouvoir la mobilisation des hydrocarbures lourds résiduels dans le réservoir. La zone de communication entre les puits peut présenter une saturation en bitume d'environ 0,20 à 0,05. Autrement, le gaz comburant peut être injecté selon un flux d'injection d'environ 0,3 à 1,2 m3(ST)/m2/h. L'opération de récupération d'hydrocarbures mature peut être une opération de drainage par gravité au moyen de vapeur (SAGD).
