Abstract
The T'ing is a drink and snack holder which attaches to the arm of a wheelchair. This differs from other items on the market by holding a drink steady so the drink will not spill while the wheelchair is in motion. The T'ing will also hold a snack while in motion. The T'ing is located in an easily accessed spot for the user. By this we mean that someone with limited mobility can reach the drink without excessive movement or bending over. The T'ing allows access in and out of the wheelchair for the user without being removed.
Description
Specification 1. This invention relates to accessories for wheel chair users.
2. When users are in a vehicle, such as a handibus, they are unable to hold onto their coffee or drinks. They cannot hold them easily in their wheel chairs either as they do not have a cup holder for travelling. If they are on an outing with a group they will not have a handy cup holder in the car either. Nor can they reach the cup holder in the car if they are in a wheelchair.
3. Using a portable/easily attachable item like the T'ing makes group outings more fun. The T'ing holds the drink safely positioned on their chair
4. The drawings indicate the shape of the T'ing. The T'ing can easily be used for left or right handed as well. Will be attached to the arm rest and provide an arm support as well as a snack tray and most importantly, a drink cup holder.
5. The adjustable straps will attach to any wheelchair. The straps are dishwasher safe as well. The whole tray can be put in the top rack of the dishwasher and safely cleaned.
6. Because no modifications to a wheelchair are required, any user will be able to attach the tray easily and safely.
Claims (4)
1. A tray for a wheelchair user. The T'ing is portable and attaches to either the left or right side. The T'ing is a plastic tray with adjustable straps to attach to an armrest of a wheel chair.
2. The tray holds a drink steady while the wheelchair is in a vehicle.
3. The wheelchair user can drink their hot beverage while in a vehicle.
4. The wheelchair user can eat a snack while in a vehicle.
