Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination d'une propagation avant à l'intérieur d'un volume de sous-surface tel qu'un réservoir. Le volume de sous-surface comprend une pluralité de cellules et au moins une faille géologique. Le procédé comprend la réalisation d'un algorithme de marche rapide de manière à déterminer ladite propagation avant en termes de moment d'arrivée de l'avant au niveau d'une cellule particulière depuis une ou plusieurs cellules voisines qui composent le voisinage de ladite cellule particulière. Pour chaque cellule faillée adjacente à une faille géologique, le voisinage de la cellule faillée est défini comme comprenant seulement ses voisins géométriques, les voisins géométriques étant les cellules qui sont en contact avec la cellule faillée dans un sens géométrique, quelle que soit la stratification.
