Abstract
The concept of this invention uses an illumination apparatus for melting snow and ice. The apparatus consists of an infrared lamp that includes a series of electrical illumination elements.
There is a curved reflector in front of an infrared lamp that directs heat parallel to the bottom surface for melting snow and ice. This apparatus is very easy to use and install for melting snow and ice. It is adaptable and can be used on a variety of surfaces such as driveways, walkways, stairs and roofs. The apparatus can also be plugged into a socket. The upper surface of apparatus includes a thin solar panel to absorb solar energy.

Description
SNOW AND ICE MELTING SYSTEM USING INFRARED LAMP
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The invention uses an illumination apparatus for melting snow and ice on driveways, walkways, stairs, and roofs by using an infrared lamp.
In traditional attempts melt snow and ice accumulations by heating the affected surface. Most of the past configurations required an installation of the heating element inside the surface or a mat or multiple panels to cover varying sizes of areas on surface.
However, these past solutions tend to be expensive and are not easily adaptable to existing surfaces. It is not easy for the maintenance and repair because they often require destruction and reconstruction of the surface.
In this proposed apparatus uses an infrared lamp for melting snow and ice. It is movable on a variety of surfaces. This stand-alone illumination apparatus can be easily installed onto surfaces wherever users want. Furthermore, it employs a thin-plate solar cell to absorb solar energy during daytime. More particularly the solar energy is collected and stored in the rechargeable batteries comprising of: A solar cell, electronic circuit and rechargeable batteries.
In this proposed apparatus may be activated remotely with mobile apps or manually controlled by a switch.

2 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The embodiment of this invention consists of a commercially available infrared lamp. The infrared lamp uses wavelength of light to transfer light and heat energy straight and parallel toward the surface with a low temperature through electromagnetic radiation. The relatively low temperature minimizes the risk of fire and the infrared lamp does not give emissions or smell from dust, dirt, formaldehyde, toxic, etc. It is environmentally friendly.
The infrared lamp comprises of a curved reflector that radiates light and heat evenly horizontally.
This apparatus is movable, easy to install, and easy to maintain.
The apparatus can be operated by remote control through the mobile application or manually.
The infrared lamp uses solar energy, which reduces the energy loss and is environmentally friendly.
