Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'induire chez une plante la capacité de produire des graines qui éliminent la chlorophylle dans des conditions de stress. Le procédé consiste à moduler l'activité ou l'expression dans des graines de la plante, le facteur de transcription ABA-insensitive 3 (ABI3) et/ou les protéines de dégradation de la chlorophylle Staygreen 1 (SGR1) ou Staygreen 2 (SGR2), ou un polypeptide possédant une activité ABI3, SGR1 ou SGR2. L'invention concerne aussi des constructions d'acides nucléiques isolées, et leur inclusion stable dans des plantes transgéniques. Les plantes transgéniques ont des caractéristiques phénotypiques souhaitables présentées en comparaison avec des plantes témoins, notamment la capacité de produire des graines qui éliminent la chlorophylle dans des conditions de stress, telles que des températures froides ou des stress environnementaux.
