Description
2 DESCRIPTION
Reduced Water Saving System I have invented a Reduced Water Shaving System that is designed to significantly reduce the amount of water used while wet shaving. The device was created as a mechanism to encourage water conservation and provide an alternative approach to wet shaving.
The invention is perfectly suited for regions of the world where water conservation is extremely important and is also very useful for travel or outdoor activities where people wish to have the option of a wet shave without access to running water or traditional washing facilities.
This invention is wet shaving accessory Most shaving methods rely on lubricants delivered through creams, foams and gels. Most shaving approaches require running more than 1L of water. Our system eliminates the need for foams, gels and creams and reduced the amount of water required to shave. Our products most significant impact is for water conservation. Our method saves considerable water in the shaving process.
I have included a diagram that shows all the major components. A diagram showing the basic components. Figure 1. A diagram Figure 2 demonstrating the internal structures. A diagram Figure 3. Depicting more detailed internal structures and Figure 4. depicting how a user could hold the system.
The reduced water shaving system has several components a body unit Figure 1. #10 containing a water reservoir Figure1. # 18, A razor cleaning sponge Figure 1. #14 which can also infused with lubricants and if required microbicides to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases in areas of the world where this is

#14 which can also infused with lubricants and if required microbicides to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases in areas of the world where this is
3 required and a stopper to seal the water reservoir Figure 1. #20 The reduced water shaving system allows a wet shave using significantly less water and without the need of traditional shaving foams or creams.
The reduced water shaving system allows the user to control the flow of water onto the sponge.
The reduced water shaving system consists of a of a box containing a water reservoir Figure 2. #18 with both a stopper Figure 2. #20 and a valve Figure 2.
#16 and a holder Figure 2. #12 for a sponge Figure 2. #14 containing lubricants, microbicides or both.
A person uses the reduced water shaving system by removing a stopper on the top of our invention Figure 2. #20 and filling the water reservoir with water.
The box can then be left in the sun if desired to heat the water. When the user wishes to shave they hold the box in one hand and a razor in the other Figure

with the reservoir towards the top they then use their razor to depress the top edge of the sponge Figure 2. #14 nearest the reservoir of the sponge to allow water to flow from an attached dam material or stopper Figure 3. #30 mounted to the sponge next to the water reservoir flow channel Figure 2. #16 which is attached to the water reservoir Figure 2. #18 This action will allow water to flow towards the sponge Figure 2. #14 releasing both lubrication and/or microbicides which may be inserted in channels in the sponge as indicated in Figure 3. #28 lubricants and or microbicides can be infused into the sponge via variety different methods. The use of lubricants or microbicides is an optional component for the use of the Reduced Water Shaving System. As the user drags the razor over the sponge Figure 4. #14 the water from the water reservoir Figure 2. #18 and if used lubricants and or microbicides will also transfer to the razor. The user then uses the razor as normal to shave as required. A mirror affixed above the sponge holder and on the outside of the reservoir allows the user in the case of shaving one's face to see what they are doing Figure 4.
#22.
To clean the razor and re-lubricate the user simply applies pressure to the sponge with the head of the razor. This will release more water through the reservoir flow channel Figure 2. #16 for cleaning and lubricating the razor Figure 4. #26 for effective shaving.
After a number of shaves the sponge will deplete its lubricants or microbicides and will need to be replaced. The box containing the reservoir and the sponge receptacle can be used over and over again. Figure 1. #10 The box can be manufactured from any substance be that metal, wood, plastic or others.
The reduce water shaving system can be used by anyone needing to moisten, lubricate disinfect or clean a razor for the removal of hair.
