Abstract

Des systèmes sont décrits destinés à la récupération du bitume des sables bitumineux. Le système peut comprendre un système à boue liquide dans lequel une matière première bitumineuse est mélangée à un solvant pour former une boue initiale; un agglomérateur servant à mélanger la boue initiale à un fluide renfermant de leau en vue dagglomérer des solides de la boue initiale, produisant une boue agglomérée; un module séparateur servant à séparer la boue agglomérée en agglomérats et en un extrait de bitume à faible teneur en résidus solides; un module de solvant de résidus servant à enlever le solvant des agglomérats lessivés; et un module de récupération de solvant servant à séparer le solvant de lextrait de bitume à faible teneur en résidus solides. Le module de séparateur comprend un lessiveur à contre-courant servant à lessiver le solvant des agglomérats avec un solvant progressivement nettoyeur.
