Abstract

L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés permettant de conférer une activité pesticide à des bactéries, à des plantes, à des cellules de plantes, à des tissus de plantes, et à des semences de plantes. L'invention propose ainsi des compositions comprenant une séquence codante pour un polypeptide de toxine. De telles séquences codantes peuvent être utilisées dans des constructions d'ADN ou dans des cassettes d'expression destinées à une transformation ou à une expression intervenant à l'intérieur des plantes et des bactéries. Les compositions comprennent également des bactéries, des plantes, des cellules de plantes, des tissus de plantes et semences de plantes, qui ont subi une telle transformation. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement des molécules isolées dans les acides nucléiques de la toxine. L'invention concerne également des séquences d'acides aminés correspondant aux polynucléotides ainsi que des anticorps se liant spécifiquement à ces séquences d'acides aminés. L'invention concerne enfin des molécules qui ont été isolées dans les acides nucléiques et qui comprennent des séquences de nucléotides codant la séquence d'acide aminé décrite dans SEQ ID NO:2 ou 3, ou la séquence de nucléotides proposée dans SEQ ID NO:1, ainsi que certains de leurs fragments ou variantes.
