Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé de croissance d'une biomasse phototrophe dans une zone de réaction, renfermant un mélange réactionnel qui permet d'effectuer une photosynthèse lors de l'exposition à un rayonnement de lumière photosynthétiquement active. Le mélange réactionnel comprend la biomasse phototrophe qui est opérante pour croître dans la zone de réaction. Dans un aspect, l'apport de dioxyde de carbone est modulé en réponse à des paramètres de procédé détectés. Dans un autre aspect, les apports vers la zone de réaction sont modulés sur la base de modifications apportées à l'apport de dioxyde de carbone. Dans un autre aspect, la dilution de l'apport comprenant du dioxyde de carbone est effectuée. Dans un autre aspect, la pression de l'apport comprenant du dioxyde de carbone est accrue. Dans un autre aspect, de l'eau est condensée à partir de l'apport comprenant du dioxyde de carbone puis récupérée pour être réutilisée. Dans un autre aspect, la biomasse phototrophe produite est recueillie à une vitesse qui avoisine une vitesse de croissance prédéfinie de la biomasse phototrophe.
