Hockey Stick Handler DESCRIPTION
Pronation-supination is a movement that is difficult to detect in the eye a coach, but it's this short and fast movement that generates the most speed in dribbling and throwing in hockey. It would therefore be desirable provide a device to perform this movement.
The invention relates to an exerciser, said exerciser comprising: a part upper defining an elongate handle having a shape and dimensions similar to the top of a hockey stick; a lower part defining a base for supporting the exerciser; and a part median extending between said upper portion and said lower portion, said part median including a mechanism that generates continuous resistance and uniform opposing relative longitudinal torsion between said parts upper and lower, thus allowing to provide a voltage as much to the pronation only to supination when a user manipulates said exerciser of similar to a hockey stick.
The invention may also relate to an exerciser characterized in that said Continuous and uniform resistance is provided by springs.
The invention may also relate to an exerciser characterized in that said continuous and uniform resistance is adjustable.
The invention may also relate to an exerciser characterized in that said Continuous and uniform resistance remains applied during changes in
The invention may also relate to an exerciser also comprising a device to indicate with appropriate sounds the speed, amplitude and strength related to pronation and supination.
The invention may also relate to an exerciser characterized in that said handle is adjustable in length.
In the drawings illustrating the invention, the single figure illustrates a exerciser for handling a hockey stick according to an embodiment of the invention.
The single figure illustrates an exerciser 10 for training the handling of stick handling by strengthening muscles pronator and supinators of the hand, to improve the control, the speed performance, strength and proper handling of the puck hockey. This exerciser 10 serves to isolate the dribble movement of the washer of hockey player, strengthen it and perfect it.
The exerciser 10 serves mainly to isolate the pronation movement supine for young and old, gifted or not, professional or amateur can perfect and especially identify the exact gesture to carry out to drift the puck, instead of bending-extending the elbow who is a very common mistake among hockey players. Then when the movement is well assimilated, the exerciser 10 improves the quality of the gesture by speed, force, or both. A sound device 12 allows to control the degree of pronation-supination required for an amplitude maximum according to human biomechanics. The sound device 12 includes the components necessary to indicate with appropriate sounds the speed,
The amplitude of ideal motion corresponds to a 90 degree supination from the basic anatomical position and pronation at 85 degrees from the position basic anatomical. The range of motion is 175 degrees in total around a longitudinal axis.
After isolating the movement, the exerciser 10 offers resistance that will target some muscles often forgotten in training but crucial in the hockey player's dribble. These muscles are the short supinator, the brace biceps, the pronator quadratus, the pronator teres and the long supinator.
The present exerciser 10 therefore differs from several exercisers who work the flexor muscles and wrist extensors that differ from muscles supinators and pronators.
Several pronator muscles or supinators do not cross the joint of wrist So they are very little exercised during wrist movement but they are solicited during the rotation of the radius on the ulna. Like they are very short, they are the ones who generate the speed. In particular, they are muscles which have origins and insertions between the radius and the ulna.
The exerciser 10 is designed in three parts, an upper part 14, a middle part 18 and a lower part 20. The upper part 14 included a handle 16 which is similar to a hockey stick by its shape and size, adjustable in length to fit the size of the user and equipped with device 12 to indicate speed, force and degree of rotation left or right left of the desired movement. Length adjustment is by engagement with spaced adjustment holes 17 longitudinally along the upper portion 14.
4 The middle portion 18 includes a cylindrical mechanism, provided with springs 22, which generates a continuous and uniform resistance in torsion longitudinal axis of the handle, which gives a tension as much to the pronation of the handle only at supination. A voltage device 24 makes it possible to modify the upward or downward depending on the strength of the participant and the effect sought by it, speed or force or both. The part median 18 has insertion tips for upper parts and lower 14 and 20. The middle portion 18 can be movable (all directions) or fixed according to the desired exercise. The peculiarity of this middle part 18 allows a rapid movement of rotation left \ right without there being absence of resistance at the time of the change of direction of the hands.
The lower part 20 comprises a fastener 26 multi surfaces of style suction cup, weighing, permanent fixing screwed or others serving as a fulcrum or inking to the exerciser 10. The lower part 20 also has a screw 28, or a pin, which makes it possible to make the pivot 30 movable or not, Up down and left-handedness to increase the degree of freedom of movement and on the what is fixed a portion of 15 to 30 centimeters of a handle that is similar to a hockey stick by its shape and size.
