Abstract
Un procédé de récupération de solvants de solides de sables bitumineux usés est proposé, lequel comprend le séchage des solides à laide de vapeur surchauffée pour vaporiser les solvants et leau; la compression et la condensation des vapeurs dans un premier échangeur de chaleur (côté chaud) pour produire des condensats, constitués principalement deau chaude condensée, de vapeurs dextrémité non condensées; la séparation de leau chaude condensée et du solvant des vapeurs non condensées dans un premier séparateur; lécoulement de leau chaude par le premier échangeur de chaleur (côté froid) pour produire une vapeur presque saturée; et la surchauffe de la vapeur presque saturée dans un deuxième échangeur de chaleur pour produire la vapeur surchauffée pour sécher les solides. Les vapeurs non condensées du premier séparateur peuvent en outre être davantage condensées dans un troisième échangeur de chaleur pour produire de leau tempérée, du solvant récupéré et un gaz de dégagement non condensé, lesquels peuvent être séparés dans un second séparateur. Une partie de leau tempérée est combinée à leau chaude pour produire la vapeur presque saturée pour la surchauffe. Le gaz de dégagement est purifié ou brûlé à lhuile avant dêtre libéré dans latmosphère.
