Abstract
L'invention porte sur des procédés de production de plantes, de matières végétales et de graines qui reçoivent de multiples attributs désirables pour les consommateurs de ces produits, ainsi que pour des éleveurs de plantes commerciales, et sur des plantes, matières végétales et graines améliorées qui sont produites par ces procédés. Ces procédés inventifs produisent des plantes, des matières végétales et graines hybrides ayant l'allèle shrunken-2i (sh2-i) mutant incorporé dans leurs génomes séquentiellement avec un ou plusieurs autres allèles mutants tels que les allèles sugary-1 (su1), amplificateur de sugary-1 (se1) et/ou shrunken-2 (sh2), et qui ont de multiples caractères bénéfiques comprenant une aptitude améliorée de rétention de sucre au stade de post-première alimentation et une vigueur et une santé significativement améliorées pour la plante, la matière végétale et/ou la graine durant la germination des graines, l'émergence d'un plant à partir du sol et le développement de la plante.
