Abstract

Un système de pointage sans fil destiné à un jeu d'escrime compétitif est présenté qui emploie des épées non métalliques équipées de capteurs de touche électriques posés sur les lames. Chaque joueur porte un appareil détecteur de touche mobile qui transmet sans fil à un contrôleur de pointage les paquets de données qui indiquent les touches d'assaut identifiables de manière unique pour chaque joueur. Le tableau de pointage est contrôlé par un appareil téléguidé comportant des boutons étiquetés GO et STOP qui, lorsquenfoncés, déclenchent l'émission de lumières de couleurs prédéfinies par un bracelet, les lames des épées et le tableau de pointage. Les règles de pointage sont programmées dans l'appareil contrôleur de tableau de pointage qui prend la décision d'attribuer les points tout au long du combat à l'épée. Le joueur qui gagne un point est indiqué par la couleur émise par la lame de l'épée du gagnant. Les règles de pointage comprennent une méthode de pointage fondée sur la priorité afin de déterminer le gagnant du point lorsque les deux joueurs exécutent des touches d'assaut simultanément.
