Abstract
The invention relates to a camping accessory for maintaining a clean environment and improving hygiene. The camping accessory comprises a package component (100), having a bag component (102) attached thereto in a removable manner, and the camping accessory is capable of being packed by the package component in a folding manner for being carried in a small space.
Description
Camping accessory Field of the invention The invention relates to gear, which the nature rambler, such as a hiker, fisher or hunter, needs to bring along to the nature.
Especially along popular hiking trails there is a pronounced problem in terms of where and how the trekkers dispose of their refuse. For example, com-postable waste may accumulate in large amounts around a campfire spot, because the campers have not taken the waste along but have left such re-fuse in the vicinity of the campfire spot, thinking that it will decompose there over time.
Brief description of the invention By virtue of the invention, the trekker has at his/her disposal a piece of gear, which can be carried easily and inconspicuously along and which assists in maintaining a clean environment and improves the hygiene of a nature ram-bler. This is achieved by a camping accessory for maintaining a clean envi-.
ronment and improving hygiene. The camping accessory comprises a pack-age component, having a bag component attached thereto in a removable manner, and the camping accessory is capable of being packed by the pack-age component in a folding manner for being carried in a small space.
The invention is based on the fact that one or more lightweight camping ac-cessories are capable of being folded for being carried inconspicuously in a small space, and at the moment of use the bag component is removable from the package component for its intended purpose.
A benefit of the invention is that it is easy for a nature trekker to take along and carry in outdoor conditions one or more camping accessories, assisting substantially in maintaining a clean environment and also in improving the nature trekker's hygiene.
List of figures Fig. 1 shows a camping accessory according to a preferred embodi-ment of the invention.
Figs. 2A-B show a folding process for a camping accessory according to a preferred embodiment of the invention for carrying the same in a small space.
Detailed description of the invention Especially when embarking on a long-distance trip, the camper needs to take along all sorts of gear in order to manage in the wild without problems. As for equipment worth taking along, the essential criteria include lightness, easy packing in a small space, and versatility of a single accessory for a vari-ety of purposes.
Fig. 1 shows a camping accessory according to a preferred embodiment of the invention for maintaining a clean environment and improving hygiene.
The camping accessory comprises. a package component 100, having a bag component 102 attached thereto in a removable manner. The camping ac-cessory is capable of being packed in a folding manner for being carried in a small space. In a camping accessory according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the bag component 102 is present as glued to the package component 100 substantially along the package component's edges. Espe-cially for compostable waste, the bag component 102 comprises a biowaste bag, which is made of an environmentally friendly, ecologically degradable material. The package component 100 is preferably made of a paper-like material, having the bag component 102 glued thereto in such a manner that the bag component is removed from the package component without ripping the bag component. The package component is made of a burnable material, which can be burned after the bag component 102 has been removed from the package component. Thus, the package component is useful also as kin-dling for a campfire or a forest cabin's stove.
One or more camping accessories are capable of being packed in a folding manner (Fig. 2A-B) along folding lines 104 for carrying the same in a small space, such as for example in a garment's pocket, a cell phone holster, a waist pouch, or in a pocket of a framed or frameless backpack. In this sense, the package component 100 has an increased significance also in terms of protecting the bag component from being torn apart. In particular, when setting off on a long journey, the hiker may pack a number of such camping accessories to be carried along in a pocket of the framed backpack.
Figs. 2A-B illustrate the way of folding a camping accessory according a pre-ferred embodiment of the invention along folding lines 104 for carrying the same in a small space (fig. 2B), such as for example in a pocket of the framed backpack.
The bag component of a camping accessory according to the invention has been depicted in the context of fig. 1 as a biowaste bag, but it can also be manufactured in some other material, for example plastics. The plastic bag component is also used as a waste bag, but when using it for compostable waste, one must be mindful not to discard it into a composter along with compostable waste, nor to leave it lying elsewhere as it is good for reuse after washing or for disposal e.g. by burning in a campfire. Both the bio-waste bag and the plastic bag can also be used as a container for moisture-sensitive gear, such as a trail map or matches.
The package component according to the invention is also useful by having it printed with user-relevant information, such as for example a nature area's hiking trails and garbage disposal points therealong, and in urban environ-ment respectively with a city map, indicating compost waste disposal points.
Accordingly, when for example hotel services include distributing accessories of the invention to hotel guests in nature districts and in urban districts, the practicability and ecological utility of the present camping accessory become even more evident.
