Abstract
Une électrode s'utilisant avec un instrument chirurgical possédant des effecteurs d'extrémité opposés qui traitent le mouvement des effecteurs d'extrémité les uns par rapport aux autres et comprenant : un boîtier comprenant au moins une portion amovible et au moins une portion de l'instrument; une paire d'électrodes, chacune comprenant une surface de scellement conductive et d'un substrat isolant, les électrodes étant raccordées sans être fixées aux effecteurs d'extrémité de l'instrument, de manière à ce que les électrodes reposent en sens opposé les unes des autres; où le rebord périphérique d'au moins une surface de scellement conductive comprend un rayon et où l'isolateur rejoint la surface de scellement conductive sur un rebord adjacent, généralement en tangente au rayon.
