Abstract
L'invention présente un traitement sur place pour un réservoir d'hydrocarbures qui comprend le choix, dans le réservoir, d'une chambre de vapeur mature et d'une chambre de vapeur fonctionnelle généralement adjacente à la chambre de vapeur mature et en communication fluide avec la chambre de vapeur mature. La chambre de vapeur mature est, de plus, une ancienne chambre de drainage par gravité assistée par la vapeur, chaude et appauvrie, et la chambre fonctionnelle subit ou peut subir le traitement de drainage par gravité assistée par la vapeur. Un gaz comportant de l'oxygène est injecté dans la chambre mature ou généralement à une frontière ou dans une zone tampon entre les chambres mature et fonctionnelle pour maintenir la pression dans la chambre mature de sorte à réduire ou à éviter les fuites de fluide ou le transbordement de la chambre fonctionnelle vers la chambre mature tout en produisant un gaz, de l'huile et de l'eau dans la chambre mature en exécutant en continu le drainage par gravité assisté par la vapeur dans la chambre fonctionnelle ou une combinaison de celles-ci.
