Abstract
The Baby Bathing Strap is an infant and children's accessory designed to assist a caregiver who is bathing a child. It is an adjustable, supple and washable strap with 2 free ends. On each end are secure fasteners which are to be clipped on to a large towel. The strap is then worn around the caregiver's neck, allowing the towel to hang freely down the front of the caregiver's chest/body prior to bath time. The Baby Bathing Strap enables the caregiver to bathe and lift the child with two hands, without fumbling for a towel while the child is in the bath It also protects the caregiver's clothing from being splashed with water during the child's bathing time
Description
DESCRIPTION
Baby Bathing Strap Field of the Invention:
This invention relates to an adjustable, supple and washable strap approximately 17 to 32 inches in length, to be fastened to a large towel and worn around a caregiver's neck for drying off a baby or child.
Background information:
In order to get through a child's bath routine without incident, a caregiver has a variety of important concerns:
a. You do not want to take your eyes off of the child to get or place your towel.
b. It can be a major challenge to find a large enough, safe, clean and comfortable surface to lay a towel down in most bathrooms.
c. You want to avoid using only one hand while moving or drying off a child for safety reasons.
d. You want to avoid getting wet while bathing the child.
Using a towel without a Baby Bathing Strap involves fumbling with both child and towel onto a counter top or floor. Laying a towel on a counter top can be dangerous as the child can move or roll, putting them at risk of injury or a fall. Laying a towel on a bathroom floor which is typically hard, can be potentially unsanitary and unhygienic and well as uncomfortable, dirty and cold for the child. Furthermore, in any circumstance, the wet skin of a child is extremely slippery and the transfer of him/her from the bath to a dry surface can be a challenge and potentially dangerous.

During a bath, splashing and bath time play often occurs, wetting the clothing of a caregiver, causing discomfort and the requirement for more clean up and a subsequent change of clothes.
The Baby Bathing Strap alleviates all of the above issues allowing for a much safer, hassle-free, and comfortable bath time for child and caregiver. The Baby Bathing Strap is fastened to a towel and easily worn and adjustable (by length) around a caregiver's neck.
The Baby Bathing Strap eliminates the need and hassle required to find a place to lay down a towel. It minimizes the risk of accidents when moving or transferring a child. It minimizes the distance between caregiver and child when drying, making the child feel more secure. It provides a "third" hand by way of holding a towel securely in place while drying, giving a caregiver ease of care.
The Baby Bathing Strap offers a caregiver the convenience in using any large towel they may already own for a child's bath time. The removable design allows for a fresh towel to be used at each bath time without worry of laundering the strap immediately between uses.

Summary of the Invention:
A Baby Bathing Strap is a washable, supple and adjustable device, designed to give a caregiver unencumbered use of both hands while bathing and drying off a child.
It eliminates the need to lay out a towel on a surface.
The Baby Bathing Strap has two free ends with secure fasteners that are fastened to a large towel. The strap is then worn around the caregiver's neck, allowing the towel to hang freely down the front of the caregiver's chest/body.
At the end of the bath, the child is simply lifted directly out of the bath onto the towel which rests on the chest/body of the caregiver. The free hanging towel can then be easily gathered up and hugged around the child, for easy and secure drying. It also protects the clothing of the caregiver from water splashed during bathing.
