Abstract

Un système de préchauffage de moteur comprend un logement avec un passage qui sy étend pour un passage de liquide de refroidissement à travers le système de préchauffage. Le logement procure au moins une ouverture qui y est définie séparée du passage, et un élément de chauffage électrique y est inséré, lélément de chauffage se projetant dans le passage par lequel lélément de chauffage est en contact direct avec le liquide de refroidissement pour le chauffer. Lélément de chauffage est fourni avec une alimentation électrique à partir dune source dalimentation pour lui permettre de chauffer le liquide de refroidissement, et une extrémité inférieure de lélément de chauffage est en forme de L, lextrémité inférieure étant ainsi sensiblement perpendiculaire par rapport au reste de lélément de chauffage, donnant à lélément de chauffage une plus grande surface avec laquelle entrer en contact, et ainsi chauffer le liquide de refroidissement. Le système de préchauffage de moteur peut également de manière fonctionnelle chauffer le liquide de refroidissement, lhuile à moteur et lhuile de transmission, chauffant par conséquent le liquide de refroidissement et chauffant le moteur dune manière plus rapide et plus efficace pour des démarrages rapides.
