Abstract

Un joint pivotant a des exigences de roulements à billes uniformes pour tous les chemins de roulement. Le joint pivotant possède un raccord mâle et un raccord femelle qui sinterconnectent coaxialement et pivotent lun par rapport à lautre tout en maintenant une étanchéité sous haute pression. Chaque raccord possède trois chemins de roulement pour former trois ensembles de chemins de roulement, dont chacun supporte le même nombre de roulements à billes. La circonférence du principal ensemble de chemins est élargie par moins que le diamètre dune bille, de sorte quil est impossible dajouter une autre bille aux raccords mâles et femelles couplés au joint pivotant.
