Abstract

Une cuve, un procédé et un système pour séparer un courant d'écume bitumineuse contenant une écume bitumineuse, de l'eau et des solides fins en un courant d'écume enrichi en bitume et en un courant d'eau et de solides fins, comportent la réception et la distribution d'un courant d'écume bitumineuse dans une cuve comme un écoulement essentiellement uniforme et généralement horizontal, ralentissant le courant d'écume bitumineuse pour favoriser la séparation de l'écume bitumineuse de l'eau et des solides fins, et collectant ensuite le courant d'écume enrichi en bitume ainsi que le courant d'eau et de solides fins à des sorties séparées respectives de la cuve.
