Abstract

A winding device for continuous paper, capable of excellently winding continuous paper that is weak to bending stress, and particularly, winding continuous tags each including in its layer an inlet constituted of an antenna for RFID and of an IC chip. A winding device having a winding shaft for winding up printed continuous paper; a drive section for rotatingly driving the winding shaft; a tension roller in contact, on the upstream side of the winding shaft, with the continuous paper and applying predetermined tension to the paper while the paper is wound; a circular-arc-like slit in which the tension roller is movable, formed in an outer surface of a housing of the winding device; a restriction member capable of restricting the range of movement of the tension roller at a desired position of the circular-arc-like slit; and a detection member capable of detecting the lowermost position of the range where the tension roller is reciprocatingly movable restricted by the restriction member.

Claims (5)

1. A re-winding apparatus for a web, the apparatus comprising:
a take-up spindle for re-winding the continuous web thereon, a drive member operable for driving for the take-up spindle to rotate for re-winding;
a tension-roll located and operable to provide a predetermined tension on the continuous web by contact with the continuous web at a location upstream of the take-up spindle;
an arcuate slit in the re-winding apparatus connected with the tension-roll and operable for providing arcuate movement of the tension-roll;
a restricting member at the slit and the tension-roll and positionable for restricting movement of the tension-roll along a path defined by the slit and enabling providing an optimal position within the arcuate slit, and a detecting member for detecting the lowest part position in a movement range of the tension-roll.
2. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the restricting member is a hard elastic member.
3. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a swingable tension arm, the tension-roll is on one end of the tension arm and is swingable by the tension arm around a swing axis of the tension arm, and the tension-roll is guided through the arcuate slit.
4. An apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein the apparatus includes a housing and the arcuate slit is provided vertically on a lateral surface on the housing.
5. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the apparatus includes a housing and the arcuate slit is provided vertically on a lateral surface on the housing.
