Abstract

Il s'agit d'un système amélioré d'échange de chaleur instantané à vapeur multitubulaire à calandre, avec conception à réaction à proximité immédiate. Ce système surchauffe l'eau dans la partie échangeur de chaleur, puis mélange l'eau, au besoin, en quantités proportionnelles d'eau froide pour obtenir la température de sortie correcte pour une large plage de débits. Ce système fait appel au moins à deux échangeurs de chaleur primaires pour assurer la redondance, dans le cas d'une défaillance d'un élément important du système. L'écoulement de la vapeur dans les échangeurs de chaleur est contrôlé par des purgeurs de vapeur d'eau, plutôt que par une soupape à commande thermostatique pour faire varier l'alimentation en vapeur. Pour obtenir une commande de température précise lors de la variation d'utilisation du volume d'eau, l'eau est dirigée de l'orifice de sortie à mélange de la première soupape d'adoucissage vers l'orifice d'entrée d'eau chaude de la seconde soupape d'adoucissage de l'eau. La première soupape est conçue pour mélanger l'eau froide et l'eau chaude à une température prédéterminée, plus élevée que celle de la seconde soupape d'adoucissage. Ainsi, cette seconde soupape d'adoucissage est biaisée, ce qui minimise le pompage thermique et fournit une commande de température plus limitée à partir de la seconde soupape d'adoucissage.
