Abstract
The present invention provides an improved braking system for inline roller skate, comprises: a brake device assembly, includes a controlled brake force engagement mechanism system, the brake device is activated with a force applied by the skater, by bending ankles/knees forward, downward engaging brake pads on braking wheels, creating friction upon full stop, the present invention insures during braking operation, that all braking wheels maintain a full surface contact, on hard or soft skate ground-supporting surfaces, providing a maximum safety for the skaters.
Claims (9)
1. An in-line roller skate braking system, in which each skate of in-line roller skate pair comprising: a boot, a frame, aligned set of wheels, a pair of a pivoted upper and lower brake lever activator members, a pivoted brake device member comprises: locking axles, a dust and debris relieve aperture, insertion guides and a semicircular and two quarter-circular concave openings comprising brake pads member, assembled with a plurality of said aligned braking wheel members supported by said a frame member, said the braking system is activated by applying a mechanical brake force to said the brake device member, achieving interaction with the said brake device member and the three respective braking wheel members circumferential surfaces by bending ankles /knees with a forward, downward movement, engaging said brake pads member with said the three respective braking wheel members surfaces, achieving a braking friction torque force upon a full controlled stop, regardless of forward or backward skate motions, also applying and maintaining to said the three respective braking wheels members, a full surface contact on hard and soft ground-supporting surface to one or both skates, the braking system members comprises a rigid material.
2.The in-line roller skate braking system recited in claim I comprising wherein said pivoted the upper and lower lever activator pair members, said the pair of the upper and the lower activator members are assembled to both sides of frame boot support member.
3. The braking system recited in claim 1 comprising wherein said the pivoted lower lever activator pair member, comprises an inward offset giving a precise downward movement to said brake device member.
4.The braking system recited in claim 1 comprising wherein said the upper lever activator pair member, comprises an attached strap means at the upper area of the pair upper lever activator member, arrange around the boot member.
5. The braking system recited in claim 1 comprising, wherein said the pivoted upper and lower lever pair member assembly, comprises a dial selection indicator.
6. The braking system recited in claim 1 comprising said the pivoted pair of upper and lower lever activator, comprises a locking means to secure said the lever activator members on both sides of said frame boot support.
7. The braking system recited in claim 1 further comprises a guide frame aperture to be associated with each said brake device guide.
8. The brake system recited in claim 1 comprising said pair of upper lever activator, is adopted to recline to a horizontal position.
9. The brake system recited in claim I comprising said the pair of upper and lower lever activators, comprises a gear teeth form element.
