Abstract

Un système délectrochirurgie comprend, entre autres, une console de commande à laquelle se rattachent de manière amovible une ou plusieurs sondes électrochirurgicales qui peuvent coaguler et effectuer lablation de tissus. La console de commande génère un signal dalimentation sélectivement variable avec un cycle de service qui est dynamiquement modulé de manière à maintenir un niveau de puissance moyen de sonde inférieur à celui du niveau de puissance maximal prédéfini. Le système peut également intégrer à la fois un système de surveillance de limpédance et un système de surveillance du courant comme moyens de détection de situations potentiellement dangereuses, ainsi quun système de surveillance pour la détection de limpédance à des niveaux de puissance relativement faibles lors dune première activation de la sonde. La sonde peut également intégrer une mémoire non volatile pour stocker des données de paramètres de fonctionnement particuliers à la sonde, des données dutilisation de la sonde, des données restreignant lutilisation de la sonde, des codes derreur et des mises à jour de la console de commande.
