Abstract

A device comprised of wires, sensors, sensor detectors, specialty paint and/or composite material to send and receive a signal which sounds an alarm to alert vehicle drivers that they have crossed over yellow highway centre lines, white highway centre lines as well as highway shoulder lines to help prevent highway motor vehicle accidents.

We believe this device, when installed in motor vehicles will alert and warn drivers as they cross over the yellow highway centre line, white centre lines as well as highway shoulder lines.

By installing such a device in motor vehicles, this system will alert drivers, giving them the opportunity to avoid an accident by implementing evasive action. Therefore this device we feel can prevent accidents on highways which could save many lives as well as see a significant decrease in insurance claims and loss.

What is this device known as Road Fox?
Road Fox is simply a sensor system device designed specifically for motor vehicles to help prevent highway accidents. A set of sensor detectors will be located on the front left and right sides of motor vehicles. The Road Fox sensor system device and the sensor detectors will alert drivers to know when they have crossed over the road sensored highway traffic lines.

What is meant by a road sensored highway traffic line?
Road sensored traffic highway lines are specially installed composite or painted traffic lines that will be placed next to or within the already existing highway traffic lines.

These road sensored traffic lines will have a metallic base or other material compound capable of detecting the Road Fox sensor detectors to activate the sensor system alarm giving off a loud distinctive warning sound alerting the driver to the hazard which then will shut or turn off itself after the driver has corrected his appropriate direction of travel.

This device will also be connected to the vehicle signal indicator switch/blinkers to also be a deterrent for drivers who change lanes without signaling. When drivers cross over the traffic sensor lines without using their signaling indicator/blinker, the sensor alarm will sound.
Therefore this sensor can also implement safe driving practices procedures to alert drivers when they are changing lanes to prevent the sensor alarm from being activated. This could therefore minimize accidents and road rage incidents.

To implement road sensored traffic lines, we believe that road sensored traffic lines can be installed easily and efficiently at minimal cost while achieving the sensor systems full objective, which is to minimize and/or eliminate accidents, save lives while also lowering insurance claims and loss.

What does Road Fox consist of?
This new device will consist of sensor indicators, wires/sensor detection system that connects the sensor indicators to the Road Fox alarm system which is installed within the vehicle.

The Road Fox alarm system will be activated when the sensor indicators break the plane of the highway traffic sensor line. The Road Fox alarm will be activated by the sensor indicators receiving a signal from the specially painted/composite highway sensor equipped traffic lines therefore alerting the driver that he/she has crossed the line alerting the driver to take corrective action.

We believe that the Road Fox alarm system should be implemented on all highways/roads that have a high volume of traffic accidents and fatalities.

It seems that in today's workplace, workers tend to work longer hours and more days in row which seems to be coming common place in the work force. As a result tiredness and fatigue may become a factor when driving to and from the workplace or to their destination. Also to consider is the driver that is not always focused and sometimes distracted due to contributing factors such as eating, talking on cell phones, etc. This device we feel will make these types of drivers to be more tentative.

This device will warn drivers that they are crossing over traffic lines therefore giving drivers the chance to take the necessary corrective action and preventing an accident from occurring.

We are not saying Road Fox will prevent highway/road accidents from occurring.
What we are saying is that Road Fox will give drivers a better chance to avoid an accident. As we know drivers may only have a mili-second to respond and avoid an accident which can mean all the difference in the world when driving.

The Road Fox alarm system may be powered from the vehicle power system or by its own built in power system. The Road Fox alarm system will consist of an on/off switch installed in the system or an indicator light informing the driver that the system is activated and working.

Description

SPECIFICATION

We truly believe with all the traffic moving on today's busy highways, longer commutes, driver fatigue, impaired drivers, cell phone use and human error, etc., it is time for such a vehicle safety system to be implemented, especially in the high risk vehicle accident zones for all motor vehicle driver protection.
The Road Fox alarm system is designed to combat and minimize highway vehicle accidents. We believe by installing this safety sensor device in motor vehicles in conjunction with highway sensored lines/systems, will make for a much safer driving environment wherever the safety sensor system is employed. We truly think the time has come for the use of the Road Fox sensor system and believe this sensor system will make a big impact in highway traffic safety by decreasing highway vehicle accidents.

Claims (4)

1. In combination, named and claimed Road Fox, a sensor system detection device used in combination with installed highway sensored lines/systems which are comprised of sensor detectable materials such as specialty paint, composite, etc.
2. The name Road Fox as claimed in claim 1, a special sensory systems device as claimed in Abstract and Specifications where as Road Fox sensor device is used to detect specially installed highway equipped sensored lines/system.
