Abstract

A support for mounting a bicycle rack on a frame, particularly an A-frame of a trailer tongue, has a cross-piece having a length to span spaced-apart frame elements of the frame. The cross-piece forms angles with the frame elements. Mounting brackets are secured to the cross-piece at an angle congruent to the angle formed between the cross-piece and the frame elements and are used to mount the support on the frame elements. A mounting means, for example a receiver tube, is secured to the cross-piece for mounting the bicycle rack to the cross-piece. The support is particularly useful for fender-less trailers having an A-frame tongue since the support can be mounted on the A-frame tongue between the trailer and the towing vehicle.
Thus, bicycles can be conveniently carried between the trailer and the towing vehicle.
