Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'engrais animal permettant d'obtenir une fraction liquide finale et des fractions solides, la fraction liquide finale contenant environ 3g/L ou moins de solides suspendus (SS). Le procédé consiste à soumettre au moins partiellement l'engrais à une première flottation passive biologique dans une unité de flottation (6) ayant une durée de résidence hydraulique (HRT) allant d'environ 4 à environ 24 heures avec un polymère afin d'obtenir une première fraction solide de flottation et une première fraction liquide de flottation. Ledit procédé comprend des étapes ultérieures de traitement. On prévoit un appareil de traitement de l'engrais animal comprenant une unité principale de flottation (6) ayant une HRT allant d'environ 4 à environ 24 heures, lesdites unités principales de flottation (6) comprenant des moyens d'effleurement (7) permettant de retirer les solides flottants (8) d'au moins une partie de la surface de l'engrais et des moyens de drague (12) permettant de retirer les contaminants déposés provenant d'au moins une partie du fond du réservoir. Au moins une partie de l'engrais est dirigée vers l'unité principale de flottation (6) dans laquelle il est séparé en une première fraction de solides flottants, une seconde fraction liquide et une première fraction de solides déposés et dans laquelle la seconde fraction liquide contient une teneur en SS d'environ 3g/L ou moins.
