Abstract
This invention is an elasticized fabric ring designed to hug a bottle, glass or tumbler, as to have the bottle, glass or tumbler become easily identified under low-lit conditions by its user. Various means of personalizing the product make it ideal for individuals who wish to take steps to identify his or her bottle or glass as their own when in a busy public setting.
This product is designed as a personal identification tool, while also being a promotional tool by adding corporate logo's, special hobby or sports symbols, or any other means of personalizing the unit that a consumer may choose or prefer.

Description
The Personalized Drink Marker Device Specification OvervieHr The inventor, while participating in an indoor sports tournament, noticed :fat most participants were paying particular attention to their beer bottles. In fact, -hey were attempting to mark or place them in a way as to assure as they left for whtever reason, their drink would remain untouched by other competitors or spectators. ~s~ith the pressing health awareness regarding transmittable diseases, individuals are now reluctant to share their glass or bottle with others even if just by accident.
This prompted thoughts about the need for an accessory that would perso~valize and therefore mark one's beer bottle, particularly during a largely attended social event.
The greatest need for this product occurs at special occasion events where:
potential exists for individuals to be drinking the same brand of beverage {particularly be~;r), and where the likelihood of an ownership confusion might occur. This situation nor~a~
poses certain health risks making the Personalized Drink Marker a socially responsible solution to the problem.
Gatherings where this product will be most in use would include, but not ~e limited to:
Hockey Tournaments ~ Athletic Banquets ~ Indoor Sporting Events and Tournaments ~ Concerts ~ Virtually event where people congregate and where beer is alloweI and sold It is especially prevalent at functions sponsored by a particular beverage Producer where chances are increased that most people will be drinking the same brand, r~~aking it even more difficult to distinguish one persons drink from another.

Its most common consumers will be the beer drinking public. The product is a fabric band made from elasticized material that provides the ability to expand ar;d contract as to fit snuggly onto the neck of the bottle.
Fabric, colour and pattern combinations for it are limitless. The band can be made in various widths; however the most common width will be comparable to ti-;at of a common watchband. Our product slides down the bottle neck to the poin-. where friction from the elastic holds it securely in place.
Individuals can readily identify their beverage from another's same or sin ilar beverage by noticing this personalized device attached to the bottle and signifying e~;s owner.
This product is originally personalized by having a logo or name screen p winted or embroidered directly on it, or on a narrower accompanying elasticized ba~xd to be permanently attached to the original band. It will further be personalized by colour, and/or by the addition of any sponsor logo that may be printed on it, or by any other markings having to do with the personal interests of the owner.
Market Acceptance The market for this product seems very strong especially when considering that Canadian Brewers Association reports that beer sales account for two-thirds of Can°~~.da's total beverage market. Gross Domestic Product contributions from the bevera~Y,e industry in Canada are reported as follows:

Claims (a) An accessory for user identification purposes that grasps the neck of a long-neck beer or ale product bottle comprising of:
.cndot. a band that consists essentially of fabric that is elasticized .cndot. an ability to expand and contract for purposes of gripping the neck of a bottle or drinking glass ar tumbler .cndot. a means of personalizing such as a persons name, favourite sports team or logo representing a specific sponsor or hobby by other processes such as silk screening and/or embroidering .cndot. various colours and colour configurations .cndot. various width sizes, fabrics and style designs (b) A means to incorporate social responsibility in preventing the spread of potentially harmful diseases through shared use of bottles and glasses by:
.cndot. Providing a colourful fabric that will also glow in the dark or otherwise be immediately distinguishable in low lit conditions .cndot. Being able to be quickly installed on either bottle neck or cocktail glass or tumbler (c) a strip of elasticized material that is:
.cndot. formed into a circular shape .cndot. adjoining each edge by sewing with thread .cndot. containing a separate elasticized band affixed to the original band for purposes of displaying a name or corporate logo that may glow in the dark .cndot. or; used without the 2nd band by embroidering or screen printing logo on the original band, or; by providing a Velcro attachment whereby any number of attachable logo's or other such designs will be created separately and fitted to the band using the Velcro attachment.
