L'âme en mousse comporte une surface supérieure, une surface inférieure et des surfaces de champ. La couche supérieure est une couche composite doublée thermiquement à la surface supérieure et aux surfaces de champ de l'âme en mousse. Le motif est formé dans la couche supérieure et est visible de l'extérieur de cette couche. La couche inférieure est doublée thermiquement à la surface inférieure de l'âme en mousse.
