Abstract
Selon l'invention, un panneau à copeaux orientés OSB faible densité a une densité moyenne environ 1,5 fois inférieure à celle des espèces de bois utilisés dans les panneaux ainsi qu'un profil de densité vertical. Le panneau OSB faible densité peut être formé par préchauffage du bois fini avant le pressage, par la régulation de la teneur en humidité de manière à ce que la couche de noyau ait une teneur en humidité plus élevée que les couches de face ou par la combinaison du préchauffage et de la régulation de la teneur en humidité.
