Abstract

Those reacher grabbers, litter pickers, easy reachers and pick up tools used in the past and present was not made to be user serviceable tools, and there are no spare parts available for replacement in case those reachers are damaged.
Also they are not durable enough for an industrial use, an attempt to lift a heavy object with them will cause so severe damage to the handle, or to the jaws, that need to scrap the whole tool, because the lack of replacement parts. And there is no sufficient choice in between different sizes which would make them more beneficial. The Palinko's reacher/grabber set is an improved version of those above mentioned tools in many ways. It is user serviceable, designed with adjustable gripping mechanism which can be rotated 360 degrees and can be locked onto the object to be moved, replacement parts for Palinko's reacher/grabbers are being sold in most department stores, heavy duty, industrial quality. It's jaws are cast aluminum, covered with slip resistant rubber and the upper end of the handle is designed to be a handle grip, so an attempt to lift a heavy object won't brake it down or cause damage to it.

Specification.
The innovation relates to the Palinko's reacher/grabber tools designed to reach for and grab small items up to 5 feet away. With a weight restriction of up to 6 lb it is ideal to use in homes, department stores, hospitals, laboratories, gardens and farms. Application of this tool includes accessibility to hard-to-reach locations (high shelves...etc), wild Life and pest control, interior/exterior decorating, ground maintenance and handling objects otherwise untouchable by hand. The Palinko's reacher grabber is provides an easy and efficient way of handling remote objects, thus eliminating the need for a ladder or a strain of bending down.
To operate the Palinko's reacher/grabber set. Adjust the gripping mechanism to the desired position ( turn horizontally or vertically ), with one hand holding it by it's handle grip (and the other hand is on the middle grip on the 5 feet reacher only) and hold the reacher to the object to be moved so that is in between the jaws and with three finger, squeeze the Lever towards the handle grip until the jaws are firmly griping the object and move it where it is needed to be. To avoid accident, never move anything over head with it.

Page 4 identifies the parts of the Palinko's reacher/grabber: 1 cast aluminum jaws covered with slip resistant rubber, 2 pivot pins. 3 chain links. 4 return spring. 5 cast aluminum bracket. 6 bolt for adjust and secure the handle into the socket of the gripping mechanism 1. 7 cable housing. 8 aluminum tube handle. 9 locking pin. 10 lever. 11 handle grip. 12 adjusting bolts for the Lever. 13 Lever assembly. 14 steel cable.

Claims (4)

1. The manually operated Palinko's reacher/grabber set of three (3), with different length of handles, 1.5 feet long for handling hazardous material, cleaning...etc. 3 feet long for picking up item from the ground, using it in the garden, feeding animals...etc. 5 feet long for decorating, stocking shelves in stores or use in wildlife control..etc.
2. In claim 1, the manually operated Palinko's reacher/grabber set are incorporates a cable operated gripping mechanism, with two cast aluminum jaws are pivoted oppositely into the U shaped portions of the cast aluminum bracket. The opposite side of the said bracket is designed with a socket for the different length of handles.( In this set 1.5 feet, 3 feet and 5 feet long handles are used).
3. In claim 1 and 2, the manually operated Palinko's reacher/grabber incorporates a hollow aluminum tube handles. One end of the said handles are designed to be a handle grip and fitted with a lever mechanism which is connected with steel cable through the said hollow tube handle and the bracket to near the pivoted end of the said jaws. When the said lever is forced towards the handle grip, it is creating tension on the said cable and pulls both jaws toward each other to grab an object. By easing tension on the said cable with the said lever, light spring forces the said jaws to open position and releases the said object
4. In claims 1, 2, 3, The manually operated Palinko's reacher/grabber sets are user serviceable tools, comprising 32 easily replaceable parts, which are available in any department or bicycle part store.
