Abstract

In accordance with one aspect, the invention provides a cover, releasably attachable across opposite first and second sides of an upper opening of a recycling box to reduce unintended spillage of contents from the box. The cover comprises a flexible mesh having sides to extend across said opposite first and second sides of the opening of the box. A fabric strip extends along each of the sides of the mesh. Cooperating hook and pile attachment means are secured respectively to the fabric strip extending along a first side of the mesh and to the first side of the box opening, so as to permit releasable attachment of the first side of the mesh to the first side of the box opening. Attachment means are secured respectively to the fabric strip extending along a second side of the mesh opposite to said first side of the mesh and to the second side of the box opening, opposite to the first side of the box opening so as to permit releasable attachment of the second side of the mesh to the second side of the box opening.
