Abstract

Une source pratique d'énergie pour charger les appareils de communication portatifs consiste en un noud énergétique intégré dans un bus de données informatiques, comme un port USB (universal serial bus). Malheureusement, les ports USB ont une capacité énergétique limitée, ce qui les rend généralement incompatibles avec les contrôleurs de charge de batterie (CCB) qui sont conçus pour recevoir une alimentation électrique constante de grande capacité. L'invention propose un circuit de charge de batterie qui ajuste les paramètres d'une alimentation électrique externe tel qu'un port USB par l'ajout d'un circuit de régulation à un design standard de CCB. Ce circuit de régulation optimise le courant consommé par le CCB, tout en maintenant la tension au-dessus d'un minimum prédéfini (la limite basse du voltage qui arrête le CCB). Si la tension du CCB commence à baisser, le circuit de régulation réduit le courant utilisé, la tension remonte et reste dans la plage de fonctionnement du CCB.
