Abstract
De manière générale, la présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant d'obtenir des informations concernant des chromophores présents dans des milieux physiologiques. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés non invasifs destinés à déterminer des valeurs absolues se rapportant à des hémoglobines oxygénées et/ou désoxygénées ainsi que leurs rapports dans un milieu physiologique. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, ce système est généralement équipé d'une sonde portable comprenant un module source servant à produire un rayonnement électromagnétique dans un milieu, un module de détection permettant de détecter ce rayonnement à partir d'une zone cible dans ce milieu, ainsi qu'un module de traitement déterminant les valeurs absolues des concentrations des chromophores ainsi que leurs rapports sur la base des paramètres d'entrée et de sortie du module source et du module de détection. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention permet d'obtenir une solution pour les paramètres inconnus des chromophores contenus dans un milieu grâce à l'utilisation d'un nouvel algorithme de traitement. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne une unité portable destinée à effectuer des mesures nécessaires, cette unité étant dotée d'un élément mobile comportant une ou plusieurs sources de rayonnement et un ou plusieurs détecteurs de rayonnement ainsi qu'un actionneur conçu pour amener ledit élément à se déplacer sur des trajets curvilignes prédéterminés. On mesure les propriétés de ces chromophores pour des voxels individuels définis sur chaque trajet de mouvement et/ou pour des voxels transversaux définis au niveau des intersections des voxels sur les différents trajets de mouvement. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, on utilise alors ces valeurs mesurées pour produire des images bi- ou tridimensionnelles de la répartition des chromophores ou de leurs propriétés. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, l'invention fait intervenir différents modèles destinés à une répartition optimale des sources et des détecteurs pour la sonde optique, ainsi qu'une opération d'auto-étalonnage de la sonde exécutée pratiquement en temps réel.
