Abstract

La présente invention concerne un réseau, adapté pour filtrer un rayonnement optique, qui comprend une pluralité de sections de réseau concaténées, chacune d'elles possédant des caractéristiques physiques différentes de celles des sections de réseau contiguës. Au moins une de ces sections comprend une structure de guide d'onde constituée par une bande (100) mince composé d'un matériau à densité de porteur de charge libre relativement élevée, entouré d'un matériau à densité de porteur de charge libre relativement faible. Cette bande possède une largeur (W) et une épaisseur (t) finies avec des dimensions telles que le rayonnement optique qui possède une longueur d'onde située dans une plage prédéterminée se couple avec cette bande, et se propage sur la longueur de cette bande sous forme d'onde plasmon-polariton. Diverses architectures de réseau peuvent être mise en oeuvre, par exemple des architectures modulées en fréquence, entrelacées, uniformes etc. Un procédé de production de ces réseaux calcule des constantes de phase normalisée et des constantes d'affaiblissement et utilise ensuite, par exemple, une méthode de matrice de transfert ou une théorie de mode de couplage pour calculer la réponse optique du réseau.
