Abstract
L'invention concerne un mélange de carburant d'aviation à faible teneur en plomb particulièrement utile et conforme à toutes les exigences de l'ASTM D 910, comprenant 67,0 % en volume d'isooctane, 18,0 % en volume de xylène, 12,0 % en volume d'isopentane, 3,0 % en volume d'isobutane et 0,47 mL/gal de plomb de tétraéthyle. L'invention concerne également un autre mélange de carburant d'aviation à faible teneur en plomb conforme à toutes les exigences de l'ASTM D 910 sauf pour ce qui est du contenu en composés oxygénés, comprenant 60,0 % en volume d'isooctane, 15,0 % en volume de xylène, 14,0 % en volume d'éther de méthyle t-butyle, 8,0 % en volume d'isopentane, 3,0 % en volume d'isobutane et 0,2 mL/gal fr plomb de tétraéthyle. L'isooctane utilisé dans les deux cas est un isooctane purifié préparé soit par fractionnement d'un matériau DIB brut et par hydrogénation du matériau fractionné, soit par hydrogénation du matériau DIB brut et par fractionnement du matériau hydrogéné.
