Abstract

L'invention concerne un tampon de polissage (10) et de nettoyage renfermant des fils (14, 15) de l'endroit fibreux denses sur un côté et sur un côté opposé de polissage, qui peut être une surface résiliante, texturée, ou une éponge (22) à cellules ouvertes. On fabrique le tampon à base de matières synthétiques au moyen de techniques traditionnelles de fabrication de tapis. On tufte des fils de l'endroit fibreux synthétiques dans un premier envers (16) qui peut être un produit en polypropylène tissé, du canevas, de l'éponge ou un autre matériau en feuille. Les fils de l'endroit comprennent des fils d'au moins deux deniers, étroitement emballés, de manière à produire une surface de soies dure et souple avec des fils s'emmêlant pour former un tampon-brosse non abrasif. Facultativement, un second substrat synthétique, tel que, par exemple, un substrat en latex, appliqué à la partie arrière du produit tufté constitue un second envers et un moyen de bloquer les fils dans le premier envers. Le second envers ou un substrat de polissage séparé collé sur le second envers forme également une surface de nettoyage non abrasive ou de polissage. Dans un second mode de réalisation, la surface non abrasive est une matière similaire à l'éponge, absorbant une solution, collée sur la partie arrière du premier envers du produit tufté. Le latex et/ou le second envers ou un second envers en latex ou la matière similaire à l'éponge donne au tampon une stabilité dimensionnelle et un mémoire de forme, tandis qu'il lui permet de se courber ou de se tasser lors du nettoyage.
