Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'estimation du taux d'erreur binaire d'un canal d'un système de communication optique, qui consistent à mesurer l'intermodulation intrabande du canal dans un système multiplexé en longueur d'onde. Un seul canal est sélectionné de l'ensemble des canaux dans le système de communication optique. Le signal dans ce canal unique est transféré à un processeur de signaux numériques proportionnellement au taux de changement temporel d'une phase d'une source optique générant le signal. Le processeur de signaux numériques transforme les signaux filtrés en domaine fréquence, et un analyseur de spectre détermine les caractéristiques de l'intermodulation intrabande provenant du signal dans le domaine fréquence. Les caractéristiques de l'intermodulation intrabande peuvent être associées à d'autres caractéristiques de bruit mesurées, telles que la densité du spectre de puissance, afin d'estimer le taux d'erreur binaire (TEB).
