Abstract
L'invention concerne un système permettant de modifier la force d'adhésion de la glace sur un objet. Ce système comprend un revêtement composite contenant des fils-électrodes recouvrant la surface à protéger. Dans un mode de réalisation, un revêtement composite contient des fils-électrodes et des fibres d'isolateur. Le revêtement composite est appliqué sur la surface d'un objet sur lequel la force d'adhésion de la glace doit être modifiée. Les fils-électrodes, qui sont connectés sur une source de polarisation en courant continu, fonctionnent de manière alternée comme des cathodes et des anodes. La source génère une polarisation en courant continu dirigée sur une interface entre la glace et la surface lorsque la glace a parcouru le circuit séparant les fils de l'anode et de la cathode. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un treillis métallique est disposé sur une surface électroconductrice de l'objet et des polarisations opposées en courant continu sont appliquées sur le treillis et sur la surface. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le revêtement comprend des fils d'anode et de cathode tissés au moyen de fibres d'isolateur de manière à former un tissu composite appliqué sur la surface pour protéger cette dernière contre la glace.
