Abstract

La présente invention concerne des polypeptides Bcl-G et des acides nucléiques de codage. Les polypeptides Bcl-G contiennent Bcl-G¿L? et Bcl-G¿S?. Cette invention concerne également des Bcl-G de souris, des vecteurs contenant des acides nucléiques Bcl-G, des cellules hôtes contenant ces vecteurs, des acides nucléiques antisens Bcl-G et des compositions afférentes. De plus, cette invention concerne des oligonucléotides Bcl-G pouvant être utilisés dans l'hybridation ou l'amplification d'un acide nucléique BcL-G. Les anticorps spécifiques anti-Bcl-G sont également décrits dans cette invention. En outre, cette invention concerne des kits contenant des acides nucléiques Bcl-G ou des anticorps spécifiques Bcl-G. On peut utiliser ces kits et ces réactifs pour diagnostiquer le cancer, surveiller les réactions à la thérapie, ou prévoir le pronostic du patient cancéreux. Cette invention concerne également des procédés de modulation de l'apoptose utilisant des polypeptides Bcl-G, des acides nucléiques de codage, ou des composés qui modulent l'activité ou l'expression des polypeptides Bcl-G. On peut utiliser les procédés de modulation de l'apoptose pour traiter les maladies telles que le cancer.
