Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé servant à transformer une matière organique compostée, produite à l'aide de procédures de compostage optimisées, en engrais organique amélioré utile, entre autres, à des fins agronomiques. La matière première organique est traitée en vue de former du compost par des procédés standard optimisés. Une grande variété de matières premières peuvent être utilisées dans cette invention. Le compost fini est passé au tamis pour éliminer toutes les particules présentant des dimensions approximatives égales ou supérieures à 1 cm. Ces matières grossières sont recyclées dans le procédé de compostage. A la première étape du procédé, les matières présentant des dimensions inférieures à 1 cm sont à nouveau passées au tamis pour séparer les particules fines du compost égales ou inférieures à 1 mm. La majeure partie des particules devrait être inférieure à 150 microns. Les particules se situant entre 1 mm et 1 cm sont rejetées, et peuvent être utilisées à d'autres fins. A l'étape suivante, la matière fine du compost est mélangée à d'autres formes appropriées d'éléments nutritifs pour végétaux, c.-à-d. du nitrate d'ammonium, pour obtenir des granulés présentant un taux d'éléments nutritifs pour végétaux utilisable comme engrais. A l'étape finale, la matière fine du compost est granulée à une pression se situant entre 2000 et 6000 psi pour former un engrais de densité appropriée, qui libère les éléments nutritifs dans un milieu terreux ou dans un substrat de croissance de végétaux à une vitesse permettant une croissance optimale de végétaux. Le procédé de compression lie l'engrais chimique dans les granulés et facilite la libération lente des éléments nutritifs contenus dans les granulés d'engrais organique amélioré. Les granulés d'engrais organique amélioré peuvent être utilisés dans les champs, les jardins et analogue de la manière habituelle.
