Description

Système de transmission des vibrations acoustiques du canal de basses fréquences à
une rangée de sièges d'une salle de cinéma.
Le but de ce système consiste à transmettre les vibrations acoustiques des basses fréquences de la trame sonore d'un film à la structure métallique des sièges d'une salle de cinéma. Chaque système rejoint simultanément une rangée complète de plus ou moins douze sièges. Les auditeurs assis sur ces sièges ressentent les vibrations acoustiques de la trame sonore du film, cet ajout de vibrations ajoute un troisième élément à l'écoute des films : En plus de voir l'image et d'entendre le son on ressent physiquement les basses fréquences de la trame sonore du film.
Le système est muni d'un transducteur de basses fréquences ( 1 ), monté dans une enceinte acoustique (2), reliée à un amplificateur audio et ce dernier relié à la sortie du canal de basses fréquences du système de lecture de la trame sonore du film. L'enceinte acoustique (2) est munie d'une sortie d'air (évent) qui se jette dans un tube (3) séparé en plusieurs sections et relié par des unions (4). Ce tube longe l'arrière des sièges et est relié à la structure métallique de ces derniers par des courroies de serrage (6). A l'autre extrémité de la rangée de sièges le tube rejoint une autre enceinte acoustique (2), munie d'un transducteur de basses, similaire à
la première, et reliée au même amplificateur audio, les deux transducteurs de basses sont branchés en parallèle. Au centre du grand tube (3+3+3+3), l'union centrale (5) est munie d'une cheminée laissant sortïr le surplus d'air provoqué par les mouvements des transducteurs de basses fréquences montés aux deux extrémités du système.
Note 1 : Les courroies de serrages doivent établir un contact solide entre le tube d'évent et la structure métallique des sièges pour que la transmission des vibrations acoustique soit substantielle.
Note 2 : Le tube d'évent est fait de plusieurs sections et le système est assemblé sur place pour éviter d'avoir à démonter les sièges de la rangée. Ces derniers sont généralement fixés au sol, dans un salle de cinéma et il serait impossible de glisser cet assemblage de plus de vingt pieds derrière la rangé de sièges d'une salle de cinéma existante.

The purpose of this system is to transmit the acoustic vibrations of low frequencies of the soundtrack of a film with the metallic structure of the seats in a bathroom cinema. Each system simultaneously joins a full row of plus or minus twelve seats. The listeners sitting on these seats feel the acoustic vibrations of the soundtrack of the film, this addition of vibrations adds a third element to listening to movies: In addition to seeing the image and to hear the sound on physically feels the low frequencies of the film's soundtrack.
The system is fitted with a low frequency transducer (1), mounted in a speaker acoustic (2), connected to an audio amplifier and the latter connected to the bass channel output frequencies of the film soundtrack playback system. The enclosure acoustic (2) is provided an air outlet (vent) which flows into a tube (3) separated into several sections and connected by unions (4). This tube runs along the back of the seats and is connected to the structure metallic of these by tightening belts (6). At the other end of the row of seats the tube joins a other acoustic enclosure (2), fitted with a bass transducer, similar to the first, and connected to the same audio amplifier, the two bass transducers are connected in parallel. At center of the large tube (3 + 3 + 3 + 3), the central union (5) is provided with a chimney letting out the excess air caused by movements of the bass transducers frequencies mounted at two ends of the system.
Note 1: The tightening belts must establish solid contact between the vent tube and the metal structure of the seats so that the transmission of vibrations acoustic either substantial.
Note 2: The vent tube is made of several sections and the system is assembled on site for avoid having to dismantle the seats in the row. These last are generally fixed to the ground, in a movie theater and it would be impossible to slide this assembly further twenty feet behind the row of seats in an existing cinema.
