Abstract

La présente invention concerne des pyrimidines et des triazines substituées par cycle benzo et leur utilisation dans la protection contre les dégradations entraînées par les forces du milieu ambiant, y compris les rayons ultraviolets, les radiations actiniques, l'oxydation, l'humidité, les polluants atmosphériques et l'action de ces éléments combinés. Cette nouvelle classe de pyrimidines et triazines substituées par cycle benzo renferme un cycle benzo attaché à un noyau triazine ou pyrimidine, et de préférence un noyau aryle supplémentaire contenant un groupe hydroxyle, libre ou inhibé pour former un stabilisant latent, en ortho par rapport au point de fixation au noyau triazine ou pyramidine. Ces substances peuvent, dans des circonstances appropriées, être liées à des formulations comprenant des revêtements, des polymères, des résines, des composés organiques et analogues via la réaction de la fonctionnalité de liaison avec les composants de la formulation. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de stabiliser une matière en y incorporant les pyrimidines et triazines substituées par cycle benzo de l'invention.
