Abstract

La présente invention concerne une machine à étiqueter (10) ainsi qu'un procédé d'étiquetage de récipients (12) au moyen d'une étiquette (15) dont le bord avant n'est pas enduit de colle, l'étiquette venant s'enrouler autour du récipient (12) par application d'une solution aqueuse sur le récipient (12) préalablement à l'application de l'étiquette (15) sur le récipient (12). La solution aqueuse est appliquée de préférence sur la surface d'étiquetage du récipient (12). La tension superficielle de la solution aqueuse force l'étiquette (15) à s'enrouler autour du récipient. On applique la colle, sur la partie arrière, en se limitant à la partie de l'étiquette (15) formant un manchon in situ ne tenant pas au récipient (12) au moyen de colle. Pour appliquer la solution aqueuse sur le récipient (12) à étiqueter, on utilise un système d'alimentation en solution aqueuse (28) comportant un tampon roulant incluant une éponge (66).
